"Making The Hills Come Alive With The Sound of Bluegrass"

Wirt County Bluegrass Association
Saturday - February 16, 2008

02-18-2008

Below you will find photo albums of the evening. With a newly added feature;  slide show with browser.

The entire evening was filled with "The Best of Bluegrass/Country Music."
From the beginning of the evening until the very end of the night, when the last note fell.
If you didn't leave with a smile on your face, you must have missed something.

Phil Jones and "Knot N' Tyme" was the first group of the evening, lending his melodic voice to many favorite tunes. Phil is always a hit wherever he goes.

Independence Road entertained the crowd and were well received by the audience. Some regular band members were absent for the evening, with other musicians standing in.

They had performed for a fundraising benefit earlier in the day, deciding to stop by Palestine's "Wirt County Bluegrass Association's" Saturday Night Sing. We're glad they did.

Good Job!

Eugene O. Stevens (Democratic Candidate for Sheriff of Calhoun County)  delighted the audience, as always, with sounds of country. He had gathered round him to back him up, favorite local musicians whom I think I shall call "The Deputy's."  Way to go guys! ♦

Winding down the evening (at times winding it up) was "Chichester Blue Mountain Boys"
They were a very entertaining group of gentlemen. Very funny at times as they joked with each other teasingly as they moved between songs. I have listed their names, (spelling is questionable) so if you see this article guys, forgive me.
